According to SNE Research, global battery consumption surged to 705.5 GWh in 2023, marking a substantial 38.6% year-on-year increase. CATL emerged as the frontrunner, boasting a global battery consumption of 259.7 GWh, reflecting a remarkable 40.8% growth from 2022. Notably, its market share soared to 36.8%, surpassing the second-place contender by 21%. This remarkable achievement signifies CATL’s seventh consecutive year of dominance in the power battery market. With steadfast support from its partners across the global new energy industry chain, CATL has secured its position as the sole battery manufacturer with a market share exceeding 30%.
