FOTON Receives a Large Order from Italy for 400 TUNLAND G7
ITALY, Europe, as one of the core markets in the world, has always been a place contested by Chinese automobile enterprises. However, if you want to enter the European market, you must obtain WVTA certification, which is considered to be the most valuable and demanding certification system in the world. In order to access to European market, FOTON Motor has been insisted on technology and product innovation and accelerated the transformation and upgrading of ecology and energy. Foton’s new energy products, such as pure electric light trucks and pure electric vans, have obtained the WVTA certification, and now its pickup trucks have also passed the WVTA certification to officially enter the Italian market. Just this March, 200 units of TUNLAND G7 was delivered to Italy, the second delivery of the year, bringing the total delivery number to 400 units.
Foton’s commitment to innovation has led to the WVTA certification of its new energy products, including pure electric light trucks and vans. Moreover, its pickup trucks have now received WVTA certification, marking their official entry into the Italian market. In March alone, 200 units of the TUNLAND G7 were dispatched to Italy, constituting the second delivery of the year and bringing the total number of deliveries to 400 units.

The TUNLAND G7 underwent a rigorous two-year road test before acquiring the EU license. Through continuous modifications and upgrades, the pickup successfully completed numerous test items, encompassing safety, performance, environmental protection, and collision requirements mandated for WVTA certification.

The TUNLAND G7 represents an intelligent truck developed by Foton in collaboration with Super Power Chain, leveraging world-leading technological resources to cater to everyday and off-road scenarios. Equipped with the AUCAN diesel engine developed in partnership with Ricardo, paired with a ZF 8AT/6MT gearbox, it delivers a maximum power of 162hp and a peak torque of 388Nm, ensuring high performance and low fuel consumption. The Bosch injection system ensures compliance with the Euro 6E emission standard. Additionally, with BorgWarner’s 4WD system offering four driving modes (2H/AUTO/4H/4L), the pickup effortlessly meets diverse scenario requirements. Safety features include six airbags, pre-tensioned seat belts, Bosch ESP, and an advanced driver assistance system, guaranteeing user safety. Moreover, boasting sedan-level interiors such as heated ergonomic seats and a 10.25-inch high-definition multifunction touchscreen, the TUNLAND G7 ensures a comfortable driving experience.
