Tan Xuguang: Tongli’s Heavy-duty Mining Truck Business is Our Benchmark

On the morning of March 3, Tan Xuguang led a delegation from Shandong Heavy Industry Group and Weichai Power to hold discussions with Shaanxi Tongli Heavy Industry Co., LTD., accompanied by Xu Yanan, General Manager of Tongli Heavy Industry. The focus of the meeting was to explore the development trends and application scenarios of powertrain technology in the mining truck sector.

Xu Yanan warmly welcomed Tan Xuguang’s visit, highlighting the longstanding cooperation between Tongli Heavy Industry and Weichai. He acknowledged Weichai’s industry-leading powertrain technology as instrumental in Tongli Heavy Industry’s sustained dominance in the off-highway wide-body dump truck sector for over a decade. Expressing a desire to continue and deepen this partnership, Xu Yanan emphasized the importance of collaboration in the era of new energy and artificial intelligence.

In response, Tan Xuguang praised Tongli Heavy Industry for charting a development path tailored to the Chinese market. He emphasized Weichai’s strengths in powertrain integration technology and understanding of mining-excavation integration scenarios. Tan Xuguang pledged unwavering and comprehensive cooperation with Tongli Heavy Industry to develop products that genuinely meet customer needs, aiming to propel Chinese mining vehicles into the international high-end market.

Prior to the meeting, Tan Xuguang toured Tongli Heavy Industry’s assembly workshop, engaging with technical personnel on the application status of Weichai powertrain technology.

Accompanying Tan Xuguang on the visit were Zhang Quan, Vice Chairman of Weichai Power; Feng Gang, Chairman of Weichai (Shandong) Powertrain Company; Ma Xuyao, General Manager of Fast; and Wang Zhanchao, General Manager of Hande Axle.
