Three FOTON Electric Trucks Launched in Indonesia
From March 7th to 10th, the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) commenced in Indonesia, attracting a multitude of attendees. Among the exhibitors, Foton Motor made a significant presence, introducing two fuel-powered heavy trucks and three pure electric vehicles to the Indonesian market. Hosted by the Association of Indonesia Automotive Industries (GAIKINDO), GIIAS stands as a prominent exhibition for commercial vehicles and urban logistics transportation in Indonesia.
During the show, Foton unveiled three new products: the pure electric light truck eAUMARK, pure electric mini truck eTRUCK MATE, and pure electric medium VAN eVIEW. These vehicles are equipped with CATL batteries, delivering robust power and extended range to cater to both freight and passenger transportation needs.

The eAUMARK is tailored for transporting large and heavy items, boasting a power output of 130KW, torque of 1,200NM, a range of up to 300KM, and a load capacity of up to 8 tonnes. Safety features such as ESC, AEBS, LDWS, and EPB enhance the vehicle’s performance, ensuring intelligent, efficient, and economical operation.

The eTRUCK MATE features a semi-load-bearing body, a modular chassis, and an independent front suspension. Powered by a 60kW motor generating 220 NM of torque, it offers a range of 220km and a load capacity of 1020kg. Additional configurations including ABS+EBD, reversing camera, and power steering make it suitable for various urban logistics scenarios.

Equipped with an electric motor generating 85kW of power and a maximum torque of 290NM, the eVIEW can accommodate up to 16 passengers and offers a range of 235km. Standard features such as electric windows, doors, and mirrors, along with optional dual-row seats, ESC, airbags, and a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, enhance the vehicle’s appeal.
Foton Motor has acquired core technology in “three electric” components (motor, battery, and electronic control technology), driving its development strategy towards hybrid, pure electric, and hydrogen energy for all series of commercial vehicles to promote the transition towards green logistics. Foton’s new energy products have penetrated markets in 45 countries and regions worldwide, including Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and South America.
The introduction of the three pure electric vehicles at the show marks a significant milestone for Foton in promoting sustainability in the commercial vehicle sector in Indonesia. In January of this year, Foton forged a strategic partnership with INDOMOBIL, one of the largest local automotive groups, to actively explore the Indonesian market, locally assemble Foton EVs, and establish a Foton Indonesia EV production base, aiming to provide Indonesian customers with high-quality commercial vehicles and exceptional service.
