Erfoud, Morocco — October 14, 2025 – The challenge of the Rallye du Maroc and the performance of EBRO Audax Motorsport continue to rise in parallel. The second stage — the first of four loops starting and finishing in Erfoud — was a demanding test for both machines and crews. Laia Sanz and Taye Perry delivered a strong performance, finishing 15th, just 21 minutes and 16 seconds behind the stage winner, Portugal’s João Ferreira. With this result, the Spanish–South African duo climbs to 16th place overall in the general classification.
There are no easy days in the final round of the FIA World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC). After yesterday’s marathon stage — 779 km from Fez to the edge of the desert in Erfoud — today’s 306 km special offered a bit of everything: dirt tracks, rocky terrain, and the first dunes of this year’s edition.
Laia Sanz described her experience: “It was a tough day today. The stage was very complete and physically demanding, with bumpy and difficult sections. We also tackled the first dunes, and honestly, that went quite well — it’s where I felt most comfortable. I’m happy to have had a good day. Taye did a great job too, so hopefully we can keep this momentum going.”
Although today’s result was very positive for EBRO Audax Motorsport, the main focus remains on building race experience and gathering data to prepare as effectively as possible for the 2026 Dakar Rally — the ultimate goal in this debut season in the Ultimate category.
“We weren’t chasing a position but aiming for a smooth day, and that’s exactly what we got. I’m feeling very good with the EBRO s800 XRR, and what matters most is the car’s great potential. Expectations are high, but of course, we have to keep working hard to complete a trouble-free Rallye du Maroc,” concluded the Barcelona-born driver.
Tomorrow, the race reaches its halfway point with the third stage, another loop around Erfoud featuring a 323 km special made up of 42% sand, 40% dirt tracks, and 28% rocky terrain.
