I’m really looking forward to that, especially with the Can-Am. That car runs really well and loves this kind of terrain. We are going for the win, which will not be easy. But we are confident of a good rally.”
Last year, Erik already showed he was fast. “After four days we were leading and won three stages, then we had some bad luck. But it was the start of the development of the new Can-Am, as it is now. That makes it extra fun to drive here again now and see what the difference is from last year.”
The rally begins on April 3 and 4 with judging in Agadir. On Saturday, April 5, the first stage takes place, an 83-kilometer prologue that takes the rally to Plage Blanche. From there, the rally will head south over classic Dakar stages, sand, desert, dunes and various slopes before heading back north for one final technical mountain stage.
