Yutong T Series Light Trucks Made Their Debut in Mexico
Mexico, March 25, 2024 – Yutong recently hosted a launch conference for its T series light trucks in Mexico, marking their inaugural debut in the country. The event brought together 170 Mexican customers, including Francisco Cabeza, President of the Mexican Association for the Promotion of Electric Vehicles (AMPEV), and representatives from 20 industry media outlets.
Mexico holds significant strategic importance for Yutong, which established a subsidiary in the country as part of its new energy strategy, providing marketing and after-sales support. Presently, the Mexico City Electric Transportation Service Company operates 301 Yutong new energy vehicles, constituting 66.8% of its fleet. These vehicles play a pivotal role in facilitating green, safe, comfortable, zero-emission, and sustainable transportation for approximately 100 million passengers annually.
Yutong Light Trucks Making Their Debut in Mexico
At the launch event, Yutong Light Trucks showcased cutting-edge technology, offering efficient and eco-friendly transportation solutions for Mexico. The product’s outstanding performance garnered widespread acclaim from attendees, including key customers such as Walmart’s commercial director, Adidas’s purchasing director, and the purchasing director of Estrella Roja Transportation Company. Yutong secured its first light truck order and engaged with 10 potential customers, setting a precedent for Chinese new energy light trucks entering the American market.
Yutong has been actively involved in Mexico’s public transport sector since 2019. The introduction of Yutong Light Trucks in the Mexican market aims to address challenges related to frequent maintenance and rising fuel prices, providing added value to customers in the transition to green logistics.
The T-Series, comprising the Yutong Light Truck T5 and T3, represents the second generation of Yutong’s new energy light trucks.
