On December 11th, the all-new large-sized SUV, C798, from Changan QiYuan, was officially unveiled. According to previous official disclosures, the vehicle was created by a team led by world-renowned master Klaus, and designed by an international styling design team consisting of 915 people from 31 countries. Simultaneously, the launch of this vehicle will also usher in the 2.0 era of Changan QiYuan products.
In terms of appearance, Changan QiYuan C798 adopts a brand-new design style. The split headlight assembly paired with the star-ring bar-type led lights give the vehicle a very imposing look. Additionally, the car features a closed front grille design, coupled with multiple raised lines on the upper engine hood, creating a strong sense of muscle. Furthermore, the vehicle is equipped with a LiDAR on the roof, suggesting a high-level intelligent driving system.
The side profile of the C798 showcases a sleek, almost flat roofline that maximizes interior headroom. Hidden door handles and aerodynamic wheels contribute to its streamlined design. The pronounced wheel arches add a muscular touch. With dimensions of 4837mm x 1920mm x 1690mm and a 2905mm wheelbase, it’s classified as a mid-size SUV.
At the rear, the QiYuan C798 also adopts a bar-type tail light group, with a layered design on both sides, coupled with a two-section high-mounted brake light, providing excellent visual recognition. Additionally, the QiYuan logo in the center of the rear is finished in matte material, creating a more harmonious overall appearance. Furthermore, the official has equipped a camera in the center of the high-mounted brake light, which may be for an in-vehicle streaming rearview mirror.
In terms of powertrain, the vehicle is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5L engine manufactured by Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., with the model number JL469Q1. The maximum output of the engine is 72 kilowatts.
