Chery has officially announced that the Rely R08 PRO, its latest global intelligent off-road pickup truck, is scheduled to hit the market on April 17. Designed for rugged terrain, the vehicle features a body-on-frame construction and a part-time four-wheel-drive system, powered by a robust 2.3T diesel engine.
The R08 PRO distinguishes itself from the standard Rely R08 with a redesigned front fascia. It sports a bold rectangular grille featuring a prominent “RELY” badge set against black horizontal slats. The large, integrated headlights are designed for superior illumination, while the vehicle’s off-road readiness is emphasized by black plastic lower cladding, side steps, roof rails, and a snorkel.
Under the hood, the R08 PRO is equipped with a 2.3T diesel engine paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. To ensure exceptional off-road capability, the truck includes a body-on-frame chassis, a BorgWarner part-time 4WD system, and both front and rear axle differential locks. Drivers can seamlessly switch between high-speed 2WD, high-speed 4WD, and low-speed 4WD modes to tackle various driving conditions.
