CHANGAN Qiyuan E07, a new mid-size SUV capable of switching between SUV and pickup truck modes, was officially launched on October 21st. Based on the SDA architecture, the E07 offers both extended-range and pure electric powertrains, with a price range of 199,900 to 319,900 yuan.
The exterior design of the vehicle is characterized by its simplicity and fullness. The front end is dominated by an integrated headlamp and display unit that can produce dynamic lighting effects and interactive patterns. Radar modules are discreetly integrated into the front bumper, while the lower bumper’s black finish and side air intakes contribute to both a sporty and rugged look.
The side profile of the Changan Qiyuan E07 showcases a muscular design, blending SUV and pickup truck elements through clean lines. The roofline features a strong, sloping design that seamlessly integrates with the pickup bed at the rear. Dimensionally, the vehicle measures 5045mm in length, 1996mm in width, and 1640mm, 1665mm, or 1695mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3120mm. The rear end of the vehicle adopts a boxy shape, reminiscent of the Tesla Cybertruck, exuding a futuristic aesthetic. The electric tailgate can be fully opened like a sunroof, transforming the vehicle into a pickup truck.
The interior offers a minimalist and clean aesthetic, with a head-up display replacing the traditional instrument cluster. The 15.4-inch, 2.5K resolution central touchscreen, powered by the 8155 chip, serves as the vehicle’s primary control center. A hidden 12.8-inch folding screen above the passenger seat can be summoned with a voice command, enhancing the in-car entertainment experience. The interior is luxuriously appointed with leather upholstery, including NAPPA leather zero-gravity seats that offer customizable comfort through voice control.
In terms of intelligent driving, the Changan Qiyuan E07 is equipped with Changan’s self-developed advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS). Standard features include 11 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 2 LiDAR sensors, enabling functions such as lane-keeping assist, lane-change assist, lane centering, automatic parking, valet parking, and highway pilot.
In terms of powertrain, the Changan Qiyuan E07 extended-range version will be available in both single-motor and dual-motor configurations. Equipped with a 1.5T engine as a range extender, producing a maximum power output of 105kW, the single-motor variant boasts a peak power of 231kW. The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive model features front and rear motors delivering 131kW and 231kW, respectively. Both versions are paired with a 39.05-degree battery pack, offering a pure electric range of 200km and 180km, respectively.
The pure electric version will be available with both single-motor and dual-motor options. The single-motor variant delivers a maximum power output of 252kW and a peak torque of 365Nm, while the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive model produces a maximum power of 440kW and a peak torque of 645Nm. All three pure electric variants are equipped with an 89.98kWh battery pack, enabling a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.96 seconds. The single-motor and dual-motor variants offer a range of 701km and 651km, respectively.
