Geely Debuts New i-HEV Hybrid Tech: Xingrui and Xingyue L Models Lead the Charge

Geely has officially unveiled its latest i-HEV intelligent hybrid technology, debuting in the new Xingrui i-HEV and Xingyue L i-HEV models. This system marks the world’s first integration of the Xingrui AI Cloud Power 2.0, delivering impressive efficiency with the Xingrui i-HEV achieving a WLTC fuel consumption rate as low as 3.98L/100km.

The new models retain the familiar design language of their internal combustion counterparts, though the Xingyue L i-HEV features a striking new champagne gold exterior finish. The vehicle also sports a fresh set of alloy wheels with a grey and silver dual-tone design, emphasizing its electrified identity.

Inside, the Xingyue L i-HEV boasts a vibrant orange interior theme. It is equipped with a dual-screen setup and a three-spoke steering wheel, likely running the Flyme Auto infotainment system. The system integrates the Deepseek large language model and supports HUAWEI HiCar and Carlink connectivity. High-end trims will offer premium features such as a Head-Up Display (HUD), heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, and adjustable rear seat backrests.

Geely’s new i-HEV technology utilizes the GEEA 3.0 electronic architecture and the Xingrui AI Cloud Power 2.0. The engine achieves a thermal efficiency of 48.41%, currently the highest for any mass-produced engine globally, resulting in a 12% reduction in fuel consumption compared to industry benchmarks. The electric drive system delivers 230kW of power, enabling a 0-30km/h acceleration time of just 1.84 seconds for a responsive driving experience. The system also incorporates redundant safety designs and the Aegis battery system, which has undergone 15,000 hours of durability testing.

Geely confirmed that the i-HEV technology will be rolled out across the “China Star” series, with various powertrain combinations including 1.5L, 1.5TD, and 2.0TD hybrid-specific engines paired with an 11-in-1 dedicated hybrid electric drive. Following the Xingrui and Xingyue L, the technology will expand to the Emgrand and Boyue models, marking a comprehensive shift toward intelligent electrification for the brand.
