At the Xiaomi “Human, Car, Home” ecosystem launch event held on May 21, Lei Jun officially announced the pricing for the new Xiaomi YU7 GT and the standard YU7 models. The YU7 GT starts at 389,900 RMB (approx. $53,800 USD), with a fully-loaded version priced at 429,900 RMB (approx. $59,300 USD). The entry-level YU7 is priced at 233,500 RMB (approx. $32,200 USD). As the high-performance variant, the YU7 GT features the upgraded V8s EVO rear motor, delivering a combined dual-motor output of 1,003 horsepower. The entry-level YU7 is equipped with a 73kWh battery, offering a maximum range of 643 kilometers, aimed at lowering the entry barrier for the YU7 lineup.

The Xiaomi YU7 GT distinguishes itself with a more aggressive design language. The front bumper is more pronounced, featuring larger air intakes and a prominent front lip spoiler. Carbon fiber accents are applied to the headlight assemblies and the hood vents. Notably, the front camera includes a cleaning function, and customers can opt for a 24K gold-plated carbon fiber logo. Obsidian Black is an exclusive color option for the GT model.
The side profile retains the sleek fastback SUV silhouette of the YU7 series, characterized by a long hood and a rearward visual center of gravity. To accommodate wider tires—265mm in the front and 295mm in the rear—the wheel arches have been widened, enhancing the vehicle’s muscular stance.
At the rear, the YU7 GT features a redesigned bumper with a dual-side diffuser panel and an electrically adjustable diffuser, similar to the one found on the SU7 Ultra, to improve airflow management. The taillights have also been updated; the ring-shaped light assembly illuminates fully during braking, and the turn signals now extend onto the trunk lid. A carbon fiber ducktail spoiler and roof spoiler complete the performance-oriented look.
Inside, the cabin retains the layout of the standard YU7 but adds exclusive GT touches. Carbon fiber trim is abundant, appearing on the dashboard, steering wheel, seats, and door sills. “GT” embroidery is found on the passenger dashboard and seat backs, complemented by metal GT badges on the door panels. Standard equipment includes a panoramic screen, a 16.1-inch central touchscreen, four-seat massage functionality, a smart dimming sunroof, and a premium Alcantara-wrapped interior. For intelligence, the YU7 GT comes standard with LiDAR and the Xiaomi XLA cognitive model for advanced driver assistance.

Under the skin, the YU7 GT utilizes the “Xiaomi Dragon Chassis Master Edition,” featuring dual-valve CDC dampers and dual-chamber air springs that allow for independent adjustment of height and stiffness. An eLSD electronic limited-slip differential is integrated into the rear motor for optimized power distribution.
Powering the YU7 GT is the new-generation V8s EVO super motor, paired with a V6s Plus front motor, producing a combined 1,003 horsepower. The V8s EVO motor boasts a 5.9% increase in power to 450kW and an efficiency of 98.38%. Paired with a 101.7kWh ternary lithium battery and an 897V silicon carbide high-voltage platform, the vehicle achieves a maximum CLTC range of 705 kilometers and supports 5.2C fast charging.

Xiaomi also revealed that the YU7 GT has set a new Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record for production SUVs with a time of 7:22.755, nearly 10 seconds faster than its previous attempt.
**Editor’s Commentary**
It seems Lei Jun has a strong affinity for the Nürburgring and putting his vehicles on the track. What is he trying to prove? Clearly, he wants to demonstrate that his cars are fast and high-performing. Previously, Xiaomi released a high-performance version of the SU7 called the SU7 Ultra, priced at over 800,000 RMB, which eventually ceased production after various controversies. Now, the YU7 introduces its own high-performance GT version. However, under Chinese road conditions, most electric vehicles, including the YU7, cannot fully utilize their performance potential. The track is primarily a marketing tool. It is evident that Xiaomi Auto’s target audience is China’s massive demographic of young consumers who value individuality and performance.
