The Beijing Off-Road Xiangye 700 has officially been listed in the latest New Energy Vehicle Purchase Tax Exemption Catalog. According to the filing, the vehicle features a 49.4 kWh battery pack, providing a WLTC-rated pure electric range of 165 km (approx. 102 miles). Positioned as the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) version of the BJ60, the Xiangye 700 is scheduled for its public debut at the upcoming Beijing Auto Show.
Compared to the standard gasoline-powered BJ60, the Xiangye 700 adopts a significantly more upscale design language. The front fascia and side profiles are heavily accented with chrome trim, creating a look reminiscent of Maybach’s luxury styling. The vehicle also sports oversized wheels to enhance its premium presence and includes a newly integrated roof-mounted LiDAR system for advanced driver assistance. In terms of physical footprint, the SUV measures 5,040 mm (198.4 inches) in length, 1,959 mm (77.1 inches) in width, and up to 2,164 mm (85.2 inches) in height, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm (111 inches). It maintains rugged capabilities with an approach angle of 26° and a departure angle of 23°.
The powertrain consists of a 1.5T turbocharged engine acting as a range extender, producing a maximum power of 138 kW. This is paired with a high-capacity ternary lithium battery. The interior will be available in both 4-seat and 5-seat layouts. Additionally, the Xiangye 700 offers an optional roof-mounted drone, catering to modern outdoor enthusiasts and tech-savvy buyers.
