GAC has officially released images of the new Trumpchi E8 PHEV (Xiangwang edition). This updated MPV is set to feature advanced LiDAR technology, a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system, and a spacious seven-seat layout designed for premium family travel.
In terms of exterior design, the Trumpchi E8 PHEV adopts a fresh front-end aesthetic. Compared to other MPVs in the GAC lineup, the front grille is more compact, featuring a radiant pattern complemented by aerodynamic air ducts on either side. The front fascia leans into a clean, “new energy” look, highlighted by a full-width daytime running light strip and dual LED headlights.

The vehicle measures 5,000mm (approx. 197 inches) in length, 1,900mm (75 inches) in width, and 1,778mm (70 inches) in height, with a generous 3,000mm (118 inches) wheelbase. The side profile is sleek and elegant, accented by large multi-spoke wheels and convenient electric sliding doors. The rear mirrors the front design with a matching full-width taillight assembly.

Inside, the cabin embraces a “home-like” atmosphere with wood-grain textures. The dashboard is dominated by a standard 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a massive 15.6-inch central touchscreen. The second row is the highlight, offering two independent luxury captain’s chairs equipped with leg rests, heating, ventilation, and massage functions.

Rear passengers also benefit from a 17.3-inch multi-angle folding entertainment screen, integrated tray tables, and a three-temperature zone refrigerator.



Powering the E8 PHEV is a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor. The engine delivers a maximum power of 125kW. The vehicle is equipped with a 38.883kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, providing an impressive pure electric range of 205km (approximately 127 miles).
