Geely Galaxy Starship 7 EV Debuts: Sleek Design and Up to 376 Miles of Range

Geely has officially unveiled the all-electric version of the Galaxy Starship 7, expanding its popular mid-size SUV lineup. Previously, the Starship 7 was only available as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), priced between 101,800 and 129,800 CNY ($14,048 – $17,912 USD). The introduction of the battery-electric (BEV) variant aims to capture a broader market share, offering a maximum range of up to 605 km (376 miles).

In terms of design, the EV version largely mirrors the aesthetic of its PHEV sibling with a few key refinements. The front fascia features a revised lower bumper with a flatter ventilation intake and a continuous black trim piece that extends toward the fog light area, connecting the split-headlight units. A notable functional change is the relocation of the charging port to the front fender.

The side profile remains clean and functional, retaining traditional mechanical door handles rather than the pop-out style common on many new EVs. The vehicle sits on 19-inch wheels wrapped in 235/50 R19 tires. Dimensions are expected to match the hybrid version, measuring 4,740 mm (186.6 inches) in length, 1,905 mm (75 inches) in width, and 1,685 mm (66.3 inches) in height, with a wheelbase of 2,755 mm (108.5 inches).

At the rear, the design stays consistent with the existing lineup, featuring a full-width taillight assembly. The only minor update is a slight redesign of the chrome trim on the lower rear bumper to distinguish it as the pure electric model.

Inside, the Starship 7 EV offers a high-tech environment identical to the PHEV. It is equipped with a massive 15.4-inch central touchscreen running the Flyme Auto operating system, which includes a sophisticated AI voice assistant. Premium amenities include a Head-Up Display (HUD), wireless smartphone charging, and the high-fidelity Flyme Sound system.

The Starship 7 EV is powered by a single electric motor delivering a maximum output of 160 kW. Buyers can choose between two battery capacities: 60.22 kWh and 68.39 kWh. These batteries provide a CLTC-rated range of 525 km (326 miles) and 605 km (376 miles), respectively. The vehicle utilizes Geely’s CTP 3.0 (Cell-to-Pack) technology for better energy density and space efficiency. For driver assistance, the model is expected to feature the “Qianli Haohan H3” intelligent driving solution.
